A national accreditation body for health professionals. A non-standard application can have hundreds of documents, and an assessor has to find the pages that prove fifty elements.

In two days we had AI reading applications. In two weeks we had it mapping evidence to each element, now it's independently assessing against all fifty criteria.

Formal assessor evaluation is running now. Next we'll measure the outcome, then we'll draft the business case.

A job on our own books

Mark worked as a risk manager and wanted AI to help. He told Matt the rules and Matt built the tool. StartRisk.

It uses AI to build a risk profile of your business, recommend risks, suggest controls and make reporting simple.

Rural Doctors Foundation, where Mark advises the Board, were the first client. Now it's being used in charities, councils, training schools, agtech companies and NDIS providers.

Before Perdura, he co-founded KERB, where he built the company's first platform single-handed across web, iOS and Android, then as Chief Product Officer raised over $6 million, grew the team to thirty people across four countries, and won the Toyota Mobility Foundation's US$250,000 CATCH challenge and a Toyota hackathon.

He was also a software engineer on Boeing Defence Australia's Currawong battlespace communications system, built for the Australian Army, and a technology lead in PwC's Innovation & Ventures practice, and at Navitas he delivered the world's largest Marketo marketing-automation implementation, by automation and asset count.

He studied interaction design at the University of Queensland. Now he builds Perdura's own tools, including StartRisk, the firm's AI-native risk platform.

Before Perdura, he spent fifteen years checking other people's work: internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley at KPMG, then risk consulting as an Associate Partner at Crowe Horwath, including acting as Chief Audit Executive for client organisations. Under those firms his engagements included Queensland Health, the Department of Defence, Rio Tinto, Santos, Microsoft, IBM, Aurizon, Queensland Rail, the Port of Brisbane, and councils from Logan to Whitsunday.

Most recently, Risk Manager at Northern Queensland Primary Health Network, where he overhauled governance and built an enterprise risk framework to ISO 31000. He has also run businesses: General Manager at Box and Barrel, and Deputy CEO at KERB, the company Matt co-founded.

He is a Chartered Accountant and sits on the Rural Doctors Foundation's Finance, Risk and Investment Committee. Now he writes the rules for Perdura's jobs, and checks they hold.
